History

  • In 1985, John Theodosopoulos, having obtained two degrees in Architecture as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Real Estate from McGill University, began his professional career in the Real Estate working for a renowned Westmount based real estate investor and developer. By combining his academic knowledge and his rigorous work ethic, he concluded Real Estate property acquisitions valued up to $10 million each. As a Real Estate Property Manager, he established comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and robust management procedures.
  • Before the end of his first year in business following fire damages to a newly renovated property, John Theodosopoulos demonstrated his acute crisis management skills by undertaking and executing the majority of disaster recovery construction work, valued in excess of $ 1,000,000, within a one week period on a 24/7 basis. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Quebec, a tenant in the affected building, who returned to their premises having lost only two business days, delivered a letter of recommendation for John Theodosopoulos.

  • In 1986, John Theodosopoulos, having passed his exams joined the Order of Architects of Quebec and obtained the professional title of Architect, which he still holds.
  • That same year, John Theodosopoulos, passed his exams for the Régie du Bâtiment Québec (RBQ) and received his General Contractor license, which he still holds.
  • In 1986 John Theodosopoulos founded ECODOMUS Construction Reg’d, a design/build construction company, located on de la Savane Street, Montreal, and for five (5) years designed and constructed over 50 projects for the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal, and constructed beyond 1,000 new single family homes for MJM, a West Island of Montreal residential developer.
  • In 1991 John Theodosopoulos brought his knowledge and expertise to the Dicom Group, and in partnership with the principal of this transportation conglomerate, formed a company to design, construct and manage specialized buildings for the transportation (parcel and LTL) and Aviation industries.
  • For twenty (20) years, the Dorval based company, designed, built and managed, primarily, the entire repertoire of specialized buildings, located in several cities, regions and airports in Quebec and Ontario, for Dicom Express, Go-JIT, Go Air and Air Montreal. During this period, this company offered its services to multiple external customers in various sectors (commercial, industrial, institutional and multi residential) and realized remarkable business growth.
  • In 2003, John Theodosopoulos and his company received the 'DEKA' award of the Hellenic Board of Trade of Montreal.
  • In 2007, The Chamber of Commerce of West Island awarded an Accolade (Construction) to John Theodosopoulos’ construction company.
  • In 2010, John Theodosopoulos passed the Green Building Council International (GBCI) exams and achieved the designation of LEED Green Associate.
  • In April 2011 John Theodosopoulos incorporated ECODOMUS Construction Inc. and established its headquarters on Boulevard Pitfield, in Ville Saint Laurent. Before the end of the year, ECODOMUS executed over 13 projects for repatriated and new clients. After only eight (8) months of operation ECODOMUS exceeded the business forecast for a full year and recognized a healthy profitability.
  • Currently, construction ECODOMUS Construction is consolidating its team, is increasing its sales with new and repatriated clients and is constantly distinguishing itself in its business activities.
